James Glavin broke a tackle in the midfield and took it the distance for a try, then followed with another to put the Tigers up 26-0 at the half. Mizzou tacked on one more try before the KU offense got rolling a bit and put up 19 straight points late in the second half and pulled the score to 31-19. MU takes down Wildcats in crucial HOA matchup

The Tigers put their defense on display in a 14-7 win over Kansas State. Mizzou’s tackling was strong and was stingy on allowing line breaks and offloads. In the first half junior scrumhalf J.T. Schlegel fed a behind the back pass to 8 man James Glavin for an open try from 5 meters out. Later in the half, a deep kick by flyhalf Gareth Jones put the chasing wing Brian Navarro in position to pass off to an oncoming Kellen Shockley for the try. The Tigers continued the strong defense in the second half but conceded one try and conversion to the Wildcats. The final minutes were an intense defensive battle that the Tigers ultimately won, not allowing Kansas State to tie up the game. Mizzou takes the momentum of their important conference win into their next game against rival KU.
